Collection: Xylagani

     Xylagani (in Greek: Ξυλαγανή) is a large village in the Rodopi region, Northern Greece, located about 17 km southeast of the town of Komotini. According to the census in 2011, its population is 1180 inhabitants. 

The area around Ksilagani is predominantly agricultural, with extensive irrigated plains where crops such as cotton and grains are grown. 

In the village, there is an Ethnographic Museum, managed by the Cultural Society of Ksilagani, which presents a rich photographic and documentary material about the daily life, habits, and work of the local residents. 

Historically, the inhabitants of Ksilagani are migrants from Eastern Rumelia, who settled here in 1924 year. as a result of the population exchange between Greece and Bulgaria.
